According to e.g.

Support> it is pretty simple so maybe that's why it remained so obscure
(no tutorials needed ;)...):

Alas it does not seem to be possible to leverage that to do XInclude
processing outside of a parse, e.g. only as a step in a XML
transformation pipeline! :(
